Through unique footage of life in the D.P.R.K. and interviews with ordinary people and scholars, North Korea: Beyond the DMZ opens a window onto this nation and its people while exploring the contentious relationship between North Korea and the United States.

A Third World Newsreel Production, North Korea: Beyond the DMZ was given a special advance screening at the Margaret Mead Film Festival and aired nationally on PBS.

“Brisk, wry and highly enjoyable.... this Third World Newsreel production casts Korea's North-South dynamic in a whole new light.”
